Equinox House on December 7, 2010. Snow had just fallen and it is bitter cold outside. And yet, as shown in the temperature graph below, the inside temperature is comfortable throughout the house. The second plot shows that Equinox House naturally stays in a comfortable humidity range (40 to 60% relative humidity). Instead of dry, itchy air, Equinox House has a comfortable moisture level without needing an energy inefficient humidifier.
No cold drafts or cold regions exist in the house, and a heating system only as large as two hairdryers is required to keep it comfortable in the coldest winter weather.
